Which no strings attached dating site is actually full of real people?

It repeated fairly clearly even when I varied the time of day. Which no strings attached dating site is actually full of real people?
I tracked this rather than trusting impressions across two cities, and it reframed what I thought mattered. Whichever option you pick, the honesty of the pricing page matters far more in smaller places. It kept showing up fairly clearly across a reasonable sample. Try it before you believe it in the end, which would be genuinely useful to hear.
I checked this against my own numbers in my own time, instead of going on impressions. In my testing, whether the app works on a slow connection changes noticeably month to month. It stood out reliably across a reasonable sample. Test it cheaply first in the end, and nothing more than that.
The handful of things that made a real difference:
Whether photos are checked before they go live — worth asking about before you invest time.
Check whether conversations sync across devices — the difference between options is large here.
Worth confirming how the app handles people who never reply
Check how the ranking treats a brand-new account — the marketing never covers this.
I compared several at once with a couple of accounts, so this is not a weekend opinion. What kept coming up was how much of your social graph it wants, which shapes the first fortnight more than anything. The reading was similar every time when I compared like for like. I would be curious frankly, it takes very little effort to check.

I gave each one a full month before deciding, before I was willing to recommend anything. The honest answer is that how long a match stays open moves the numbers more than anything else.

I sat with this question for a while once properly, and the results surprised me. Once you look closely, how much depth the profiles allow can be tested inside a week.
I checked this against my own numbers on this, and stopped assuming the obvious answer was right. Whichever option you pick, how quickly fake profiles get removed accounts for most of the variance I saw. It came out the same in a way I could measure for both of the accounts I tested. Check it against your own case on balance, and revise it freely.
I tried the obvious options first a while back, and it was more revealing than I expected. The honest answer is that how the app handles reports separates the usable options from the rest. It was true to a degree that mattered even after I changed my photos.
The signals I now look for first:
Find out whether you can undo an accidental swipe
Look at how the onboarding handles preferences — this is where the free tiers diverge.
How many photos the format actually allows — it changes the experience completely.
Whether the sign-up asks for a phone number — worth asking about before you invest time.
Find out whether photos are checked before they go live — this is the one I would check first.
I logged what actually happened across two cities, so this is not a weekend opinion. What actually decided it was the ratio of active to dormant profiles, which predicts your reply rate better than anything else. That held again and again regardless of how active I was. Treat it as a starting point frankly, so treat this as a starting point.
Lightweight options I jotted down while reading around: rendate.site, luvdate.site, datelink.online.

I started sceptical here, which made the differences much easier to see. Realistically the share of accounts that are dormant is the first thing I would look at now.

I took the unglamorous route before deciding, which changed my answer completely. Boiled down, how many photos the format allows tends to decide whether you stick with it. It was consistent in a way I could measure across the whole period I tracked. Whether it generalises I do not know on balance, whether others found the same thing.
On the alternatives side, Datelink is the one I hear about most often.

I have been through this properly once properly, and it held up across all of them. In practice how many photos the format allows quietly determines how long you stay. That difference held up in a way I could measure regardless of how active I was.
Someone in another thread pointed me at a rundown on Datebound, which was at least worth a look.

I spent longer on this than I meant to here, before forming any view. It turns out the actual reply rate matters more than the brand name. The finding held again and again well beyond what I would call noise. Treat it as a starting point honestly, rather than taking my word for it.
I approached this the boring way a while back, and stopped assuming the obvious answer was right. What kept coming up was how the free tier is gated, which is where the real differences show up.
I checked this against my own numbers once properly, and the pattern turned out to be consistent. Cutting through it, whether verification exists at all turns out to matter far more than the interface.
The questions I ask before installing anything now:
Check whether photos are checked before they go live — the difference between options is large here.
Find out how blocking works, and whether it sticks — I would treat this as a dealbreaker.
Ask how the app handles duplicate accounts — check it on a real account, not a demo.
Whether there is a desktop experience at all — the answer varies more than you would think.
I ran this for a couple of months with a bit of patience, and I would do it the same way again. The short answer is that the honesty of the pricing page stays invisible until it bites you. The same thing happened more than once across the whole period I tracked.
Building on what ConnorP said: distance settings quietly cap your pool more than anything else.
Not a recommendation as such, but this Luvdate thread is the other name that keeps surfacing.

I want to offer a different read. app rankings change fast enough that any list here is out of date within months. I have been wrong on this before.
