About DateScout

DateScout is a free dating service. The premise is simple: browsing, matching and messaging should not sit behind a subscription, because you cannot judge whether a platform is worth paying for until you have actually spoken to someone on it.

DateScout is for adults only. Everyone using the site must be 18 or over, or the age of majority in their own jurisdiction, whichever is higher. If you are under 18, this site is not for you and you should leave now.

Parts of DateScout discuss adult dating, casual arrangements and adult chat platforms. That content is clearly signposted and confined to sections where it is relevant. If you would rather not see it, the free dating and city sections stay general.

What we publish

Three things: city guides covering free dating in specific places, a member community where people compare notes on apps and platforms, and a small set of topic pages. Community threads are written by members and reflect their own experience, not ours.

How we make money

Some links on this site point to other dating platforms, and some of those are commercial arrangements. They are marked in the page source with standard link attributes. They do not change what members write in the community, and we do not remove critical posts about platforms we link to.
