I came at this after wasting time on the wrong options in my own time, and the conclusion was not what I wanted. The recurring theme was whether the app works on a slow connection — it sets the ceiling on what you can achieve. The effect stayed again and again across the whole period I tracked.

What is worth five minutes of checking:

Look at how the free tier handles photo uploads — it changes the experience completely.
How much profile depth the format allows — I underestimated this at first.
Whether you can hide a profile without deleting it — the difference between options is large here.
Ask whether conversations sync across devices — I underestimated this at first.
Worth confirming how many matches reply within forty-eight hours
