It came out the same without exception in replies rather than in match counts. Are there over 50s dating free events in major cities?
I trialled the free tiers only across two cities, and it was more revealing than I expected. What kept coming up was how blocking actually behaves, which decides most of the outcome.
I checked this against my own numbers with a bit of patience, and the results surprised me. For me, whether verification exists at all stays invisible until it bites you. It played out the same way in a way I could measure once the first fortnight was out of the way.
The questions I ask before installing anything now:
How quickly obvious fakes disappear — I would treat this as a dealbreaker.
Whether the sign-up asks for a phone number
Worth confirming whether the bio field is long enough to be useful
I approached this the boring way in my own time, and I would do it the same way again. Across all of them, the quality of the profile prompts is worth more than any feature list.

I started sceptical with a couple of accounts, before I was willing to recommend anything. Where it actually landed was whether search exists alongside swiping — that can be tested inside a week. The contrast was sharpest every time on every account I set up. I would be curious on balance, not what a listicle told you.
Other names that came up: datingfly.online, ezhookups.online, luvdate.site.

I looked at what changed since last year a while back, and the numbers told a clearer story than I did. The measurable difference came down to how long a match stays open, which becomes obvious only after a month. The evidence pointed the same way more than once regardless of which city I set.

I resisted the urge to switch too early in my own time, and it held up across all of them. If I had to pick one factor, how easy it is to delete an account is where the real differences show up.
I asked three friends who use these regularly while comparing them, instead of going on impressions. What kept coming up was how many photos the format allows, which is what people are really complaining about. It was true in a way I could measure even after I changed my photos. Do not take this as gospel honestly, and nothing more than that.
I read a lot of conflicting advice first here, and a few things became obvious quickly. In practice how consistent match quality is week to week turns out to matter far more than the interface. That difference held up reliably across a reasonable sample.
Things I wish I had checked sooner:
Whether you can search rather than only swipe — worth asking about before you invest time.
Worth confirming how many prompts the profile format offers — worth two minutes before you commit.
Whether there is a desktop experience at all — genuinely worth knowing up front.
Ask whether you can see who viewed your profile — it changes the experience completely.
Whether the privacy policy is readable — this is where the free tiers diverge.
I tested a handful of these back to back on this, so this is not a weekend opinion. If I had to pick one factor, how the app treats people who travel explains most of the complaints here. It stayed consistent consistently enough to trust in a way that was hard to argue with. Your results will vary in the end, which would be genuinely useful to hear.

I tracked this rather than trusting impressions on this, so take it as tested rather than assumed. Where it actually landed was the share of accounts that are dormant — that drives the outcome more than luck does. It was true consistently enough to trust no matter how I adjusted the filters. That is where I landed in the end, and revise it freely.
ChadleyD is right about the profile side. Where it differs is that the app matters least once your profile is genuinely finished.

I did the comparison properly without rushing it, and ended up somewhere unexpected. More than anything, the ratio of active to dormant profiles is where the real differences show up.
I compared it against Ezhookups came up again before settling, which helped clarify the trade-offs.
