I checked this against my own numbers on this, instead of going on impressions. Strip out the noise and photo quality on both sides is where the real differences show up. The effect showed up in a way I could measure once I had a few weeks of data. Test it cheaply first honestly, which would be genuinely useful to hear.

What I would put at the top of the list:

• Whether you can search rather than only swipe — surprisingly hard to find out in advance.
• Whether you can undo an accidental swipe — most apps are quiet about this.
• Check how quickly obvious fakes disappear — I would treat this as a dealbreaker.
