I looked at what changed since last year a while back, so I am fairly confident in the shape of it. For me, how support responds to a real problem is the thing people consistently underestimate. It tracked more than once even accounting for luck. That is the short version honestly, and revise it freely.

I went back through my own messages to check once properly, so this is not theoretical. Strip out the noise and whether notifications can be tuned becomes obvious only after a month.

I tracked this rather than trusting impressions before deciding, and I would do it the same way again. Where it actually landed was whether messaging is capped — that becomes obvious only after a month. The difference persisted reliably long after the novelty had worn off. Not universal advice ultimately, depending on where you are.

Things I wish I had checked sooner:

Whether prompts give people something specific to answer — check it on a real account, not a demo.
Look at how the app treats people who travel — it changes the experience completely.
Worth confirming whether read receipts exist — it matters more after the first month.
