I went through this same question last year while comparing them, so the sample is at least reasonable. The honest answer is that how granular the filters are stays invisible until it bites you. The gap was widest reliably in every week I bothered to measure. Test it cheaply first ultimately, just what held up for me.

I stuck with it longer than most people would in my own time, which is where the interesting part started. In practice whether photos are checked before publication explains why old recommendations age badly. The effect stayed without exception regardless of how active I was. Adjust from what you actually see ultimately, depending on where you are.

What separated the usable ones from the rest:

Check how quickly obvious fakes disappear — surprisingly hard to find out in advance.
Worth confirming whether you can delete your account without contacting support — it decided things for me.
Check how many profiles in your area have been active this week — it decided things for me.
