I sat with this question for a while here, and it held up across all of them. The variable that mattered was how easy it is to delete an account — it predicts your reply rate better than anything else. The contrast was sharpest fairly clearly across a reasonable sample.

The trend was steady every time once the first fortnight was out of the way. Treat it as a starting point on balance, and adjust as you go.

Look at whether the privacy policy is readable
How the app handles duplicate accounts — worth asking about before you invest time.
Check how reply rate compares with match rate
How the app handles people who never reply
